Boudoir Shoot

When someone asked me to do a Boudoir Shoot I was a bit apprehensive.
Whilst confident enough with my camera, it’s quite a task to take pictures of a woman in her lingerie and making her feel and look her best. After all, who wants a bad angle showing the wobbly bits??! I decided to practice on a friend and after a few coffees in the office we had it planned and one sunday morning we set about creating some rather lovely pictures.
The bedroom wasnt overly spacious so lense changes were frequent, different clothes, accessories and angles had us in fits of laughter – as a photographer you tend to get yourself into strange positions to get the shot that you want – but with one foot on the bed and one on the headboard with the ceiling fan close to your head certainly started the giggles again!
At the end of the morning, with a card full of shots it gave me the confidence I felt I needed and an insight into a part of photography that I would really like to pursue – after all, the best feeling in producing people pictures is the look on their face and the excitement of knowing they love what you have done.
