About Me
My name is Caroline, I am 41 years old and currently living in Lincolnshire. With two teenagers living at home, life is hectic , however I still have time to take photographs, take time out for workshops and go on photographic weekends.
I have always enjoyed photography as a hobby which started in the 1980's and I have progressed from my Canon EOS 400d to my Canon 50d with numerous lenses varying from 10-20mm for Landscape to the 100-400mm for Wildlife.
2007
I completed an Open University short course, this increased my need to learn more and pursue Photography as something other than just a hobby. However, I realise this may take time but you have to start somewhere!
I would love to be able to incorporate photography into my career.
2008
Throughout 2008 I attended many "Going Digital" workshops which was a great way to get to know more about digital photography and meet some new friends.
I started college in September to do A Level photography starting back at the basics of black and white film and photo journalism. The course has been very inspirational.
Also, along side another Lincolnshire photographer, we held an exhibition of work, which was a successful and enjoyable experience.
2009
This year has been one for travel up and down the country!
I have been to Scotland photographing Wolves and Kent WHF to photograph the Big Cats in March and August.
A week in Scotland In December gave me the opportunity to shoot some Snow Scenes and I am happy with the results.
I love all wildlife, especially the Big Cats and Wolves, but my ultimate experience would be to Photograph Polar Bears in their natural habitat. My A level subject "Sanctuary" was perfectly timed with research and visits to the WHF and I passed my first year A level with straight A's.
2010
I am continuing with AS2 shooting out of my comfort zone with Portraiture, some of which you can see on here. My exam subject is Landscape which I am more than comfortable with.
A trip to Bavaria in November for more Wildlife, and the possibility of more workshops ensure that there is plenty to look forward to.
This site has been produced as a portfolio of my work, and is updated throughout the year.
