Portraits and Prints
I love meeting and working with people and to combine this with Portrait work is an ideal. Before we start the photo session its good to get to know each other which will put you at ease in front of the camera and bring out the best in your photographs.
I will come to a location of your choice, making use of natural light, which I find far more flattering than a stark white background with studio lights. By doing this, you will be in familiar surroundings which will mean more to you. This can be anywhere you want, a park, the beach, even the back garden.
The first thing people ask is "what should we wear"?
I think that the clothes that you feel comfortable in and "yourself" are perfect, bright co-ordinating colours work well for both colour and black and white images, but it is best to stay away from fussy patterns and logos.
Feel free to bring any props along with you. If its outdoors in the winter, bring the wellies, umbrellas or silly hats, favourite toys are also a good thing to make children feel comfortable! The more you have fun the natural the pictures will be and you wont even notice the camera!
